International 1920 Match (NRA Action Match Pistol) is one of the most challenging of the shooting sport disciplines. This sport allows all competitors to continuously improve their skills by the score and amount of X, s they shoot in practice or in competition. !! The perfect 1920 and 192 X, s!! Will always BE the goal of any serious competitor.
Match 1 The Practical Event
The Practical event consists of four stages, with three strings and 12 shots
Per string (48 shots total) fired from 10, 15, 25 and 50 yards. At the 10 yard line the final string requires that the shooter fires 3 shots on each target weak hand unsupported. This is compulsory for all participants. As this string is the only one in the entire match that requires shots to be fired with the weak hand unsupported.
Stock category shooters are to stand during all the strings and are allowed to go prone at 50 yards.
Times for this event vary between 3 and 15 seconds.
Match 2 The Barricade Event
The Barricade Event consists of four stages, with 2 strings and 12 shots Per stage (48 shots total) fired from 10, 15, 25 and 35 yards.
All shots will be fired from behind the barricade with 6 shots on the left and 6 shots on the right target. The shooter may choose which side he prefers to start with.
Stock gun shooters may not make use of the Barricade.
Times for this event vary between 5 and 8 seconds per 6 shots.
Match 3 The Moving Target Event
The Moving Target event consists of four stages, with 2 strings at 10 and 15 yards and 4 strings at 20 and 25 yards. 48 shots are fired in total.12 shots at each distance.
Times for this event remain 6 seconds for the speed that the Mover is set at.
Match 4 The Falling Plate Event
The Falling Plate Event consists of four stages. Each stage will have 2 strings with 6 shots per string. 48 shots are fired in total. Stages are fired at 10, 15, 20 and 25 yards. The plates have to be knocked down to score.
Times for this event vary between 6 and 9 seconds per 6 shots.
